Saludishos. ------------------------ The last of the three sketches made with the tablet. It's weird that I chose Ivy for that, since she's not exactly one of my favorites. But I don't know, for some reason I wanted to draw her. Reading comic books is something I don't always do, but I'm curious about something. I remember when "Contagion" came up (yep, years ago) Ivy's skin was... well, normal. But in more recent years she's being portrayed with green skin. I don't really like her like that, but still, does anyone knows if something happened to the character? You know, if she had some sort of mutation, or if the green skin thing 100% stetic. I've been looking for that answer for a while without luck, does anyone know? I didn't want to make her green, but I did try some kind of weird skin tone with her. Also tried to get her this exotic glow on her, to make her more tempting and deadly, you know, like some venomous reptiles with shiny skin. Enjoy! Poison Ivy belongs to DC Comics. Comments
Me gusta mucho. -- "Old love, how I wish we were an old love, I've survived all this and more. Oh, you're turning everything to dust, and the wind is picking up. Oh, brown eyes, save a little something for me too" Hidden by Owner oooh I like and no they just decided to make her more plant like the original story is that she was shy and some guy pretended to like her so he could use her. So he combined her DNA with a plant and stuff >.< thats why she calls the plants her babies too since test thing made her unable to have children. Yet again one of my favorite characters because she is the sexy character.
-- I watch the stars as they fall from the sky I held a fallen star and it wept for me dieing... Contrary to what some have said, there actually is a reason for her "greenified" skin tone. She is slightly becoming less and less human, her blood has even begun to more closely resemble chlorophyll than it does human blood, and her control over plants has become so strong that she'd been elevated to a "League Level" threat in the DCU.
She's become such a powerful meta-human that the only person considered qualified to take her on solo is Batman himself. She's also been identified as one of the "Communers" in the DCU, a being who can directly speak to nature itself, similar to characters like the Swamp Thing. She can actually hear the voice of mother nature. Accompanying her ascension to this new level of existence she has also had a mental "enlightenment" to the point that she has realized that destroying batman and humanity is not her actual goal. They are merely an "obstacle in my path toward protecting mother earth" to quote her own words. Basically, she's become the ultimate eco-girl. The world must be protected, and if humans get in the way of her protecting it, that's their problem not hers. To sum up, she's losing more and more touch with her humanity, and becoming... Well, I guess the closest thing I can compare it to is becoming a dryad. -- "Why do we fall...? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up." -Thomas Wayne, Batman Begins |
